Great but flaws

I really like this machine. Compared to others, this is a beast on steroids. Solid as a rock with a lot more freedom of movement than I expected. But it has some disadvantages. Firstly, I would suggest that either two people do the installation or one very strong, well coordinated person. I say this because lifting and placing the TV on the TV mount rails is very difficult. I ended up having to tie my hands together to keep them from moving. However, the main downside is the method they use to mount the TV. It's got these wide rails that stretch 18-20 inches from side to side. This is a good idea as you can further adjust the placement from side to side. In addition, you can adjust the height of the TV by installing brackets above or below the TV. BUT, on my TV they pretty much hide where you make most of your connections. I ended up having to replace my perfectly working optical cable with one with a right angle plug just to make an audio connection. That's good news...I can't even reach some of the other legacy peripheral ports with old tech outlets. This forced me to buy a $30 component to HDMI converter to hook up an old DVD player. Yes, I could buy a new Blu Ray player, but 2-4 times more expensive than the converter. But who buys discs with streaming that easy and cheap these days? I think if they had the option to somehow reduce the length of the rails, but I doubt that anything I say has anything to do with how they design or redesign their product. Just be aware that there is one issue that you must be aware of when purchasing this great product.

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
