First of all I think it's really good, just what I was looking for. In addition, many reviews say that it is paper thin. It's thin but not as bad (for me) as some reviews say. But even in hot and humid Tennessee, I would need an extra blanket on my bed to keep me warm at night. That doesn't bother me as I always have an extra blanket on the bed. Despite all that, it's not the softest I've ever felt, nor is it the worst. I would place it somewhere in the middle. I just received it yesterday and washed it so I can put it on my bed. I agree with some of the other reviews that it started to build up after the first wash which is a bit disappointing considering the price. There is also a small orange stain which I didn't notice before washing. It's tiny so not enough to make me want to return it. As beautiful as it is and I intend to keep it for myself I think the price is a bit high for the quality.
