Warning - The lens in the housing does not have the required protective coating.
The DLP projector lamp has a special coating that is applied to the lens. This coating prevents harmful UV and IR radiation from entering your projector's light path. The lens in this case has no such protective coating. As a result, the device flickers (at least) with an Optoma projector after about 30 seconds and then switches off with a lamp error. After much disappointment (ordered 2 bulbs from Revain) I read about this common problem and replaced the clear body lens with my old body lens and now it works. However, the protective layer wears off over time. So using my old lens in the case will probably shorten the life of the lamp. I would avoid this product!
