Review on CyberPower RMCARD205: Enhancing UPS and ATS PDU Management with Remote Access by Aaron Lewis

Exceeded my expectations!

I bought this card for my Cyberpower OR500LCD that I have at home for network equipment. My batteries were dead, but I didn't know until we had a power outage. Determined not to let this happen again, I bought this card to better monitor and test the UPS. The first thing that struck me was that it could be installed without shutting down the UPS. It was great as my family uses the internet all the time. I plugged it into the back of the UPS, plugged it in and it immediately got a DHCP IP address from my router. I used this IP address, to log into the web portal to set it up. Everything worked great. I even set up the email portion to receive an email when a UPS event occurs. Very good. There is also a small program that you can download from the Cyberpower website that makes it very easy to update the firmware. You don't need to worry about FTP. Anyway, I'm very happy with the card. I was concerned after seeing some of the reviews but there were no issues with my card. One advice I would give is to update the firmware first before making many changes to the settings. when a UPS event occurs. Very good.
