My son is small and I deliberately ordered a size that I think will fit him for the upcoming Christmas. Due to its size, it fits almost perfectly; So maybe it runs small if you are looking for the exact size of your child? Otherwise it looks great, doesn't seem to have any complicated wash settings and I'll update again if it's too small for him next year (when he reaches recommended size age).
