I was looking for an alternative to Husqvarna's very expensive side mirrors and started looking for some options at Revain. I found this one and decided I had nothing to lose by trying it for the price. Vitpilen 701 is a 7/8 inch rod but it is thick so it is actually larger than 1/2 inch inside diameter. I was able to use a hammer to knock out the outer adapter on these mirrors to fit the smaller size. After tightening them insanely to make sure nothing came loose, I tested them on the freeway. They hold up well! Even at 130 km/h, they don't buckle under wind pressure. I definitely recommend buying these if you want to save a few bucks but still want the bar end mirrors to get rid of any Shrek ear mirrors you may have gotten from the factory.
