I already have several large LED steady light panels for video and photo lighting. My panels are large 12-15 inch panels that can be powered by large Sony NP batteries or an AC outlet. They cost over $200 each. I wanted to install a small product (like watches, cookies, jewelry, etc.) to pick up or photograph a bug from a bag with all the gear, but in a smaller and lighter version. This light is one of the components in my Ulanzi phone graphics setup. Here are the highlights I appreciate and some tips or details I learned while using this light that are not mentioned in the product listing. - The button is indented and slides up and down. This is an important feature as it has been designed to be switched on intentionally, avoiding accidental switching on and battery leakage in your pocket. Lots of connectors to add extra items. With cold shoe mounts on the top and side, I can connect other lights or additional mounts or a small microphone as long as those accessories all have cold shoe legs. - Can be powered with Type-C cable. I ran out of battery and thought I died in the water, but I can use the flashlight while charging. This is something you don't take for granted with internal battery powered devices. The easy-to-read blue LCD display and function arrow keys are positioned for intuitive use. When placing these buttons, attention was paid to user-friendliness and well thought-out planning. I was able to maneuver and change settings without reading the instructions. Accustomed to icon pits, I can adjust quickly without looking at the back of the light or taking my eyes off the subject to determine the correct brightness, color or white temperature.
