Try it yourself: Cover the camera with a piece of paper (or something similar) without covering the PIR sensor. You will see the red PIR icon is displayed correctly on the screen, but you will find that the alarm actions are not triggered. No video recording, no full screen mode, no alarms. Currently, PIR only puts a red watermark on the screen. Clearly not a hardware issue, not sure if this was broken by a recent patch. My intention was to disable video motion detection entirely and just use PIR.
