Review on Honest Kitchen Grace Dehydrated Grain Free Turkey Cat Food - Human Grade, 2 lb by Dawn Webster

Healthy, organic cat food that takes some getting used to.

I have five cats but the main reason I bought this product was because I have a cat, 20 years old who is dying and will be almost euthanized. He was losing weight quickly, his blood work was good, and weighed about 6 pounds. He has kidney failure. The goal was to gain weight, but in a healthy way. I have to admit I've never seen powdered cat food in a box. It's like a cereal box where you have a plastic bag with the contents inside (see picture). Basically it's 1 part cat food powder and then 1 part hot water, then you mix it. Properly mixed, it results in a paste-like cat food consistency. (see picture) Too much water and you'll have sauce. Now I'll start off with a foreword by explaining that before I bought this brand of cat food I looked at about 10 cans of different brands, flavors etc a day. Because my cat got very picky when I tried to cure him, so it was a constant back and forth. Also, a while back I watched an episode of Shark Tank that featured a vet putting their line of cat food (cornucopia) together eradicated disease in cats and dogs with a superfood supplement, and those who eat this food live about 28 years. Dogs can double their lifespans, and cats and dogs, for the most part, live very healthy lives. I actually spoke to him personally when calling the company to order food. The downside is that the food is very expensive. Но он таквтно объяснил, насколько токсичен обычный корм, и почему уaut питомцев со со °. д. У одной женщины было 62 кошки (должно быть, это своего рода приют), которая регулярно тратила 1000 долларов на ревчевта навчевтев. per month, and since she started using Cornucopia she is saving literally $1,000 a month on vet bills and still is. All of this led me to find non-toxic cat food, which also led me to Honest Kitchen. here's how it goes. But overall they're the same, non-GMO, no antibiotics, organic, free range, tomboy, no preservatives, etc. Cornucopia explained to me that the reason my cat lost so much weight with age was because she that didn't get high-quality protein that cats would eat away from home. So basically his body is eating itself, so he loses weight as he gets older. Terrible thought. So I feed my 20 year old cat The Honest Kitchen - Turkey Recipe sporadically throughout the day and then also feed him a super supplement Cornucopia and in less than a week the cat is noticeably healthier and gaining weight. I see a complete change in his overall health. I was told it would probably take him 90 days to see any major changes. He actually eats turkey using the Honest Kitchen recipe (I haven't tried any other recipe). I've had more success with Honest Kitchen than with random brands and flavors of canned cat food. He eats Honest Kitchen by himself, and sometimes I have to mix in some tuna. Using hot water rather than just room temperature water really helps. It's not his favorite food, but this is how Cornucopia explains it to me: The vet said that in the ingredients of most commercial brands and prescription cat foods, the claim "natural flavors" actually contains sugar etc. and is tempting to the cat. want to eat, even if it is bad for the cat. So, switching a cat to this type of cat food is a similar process to switching from a commercial brand to a prescription brand. But that's what's best for the cat. I don't know if he likes the chicken recipe more. I try to try While he loves the taste of turkey and offal from Cornucopia cat food, he's not sure how he'll react to an honest broiler chicken recipe. My other four cats tried the Honest Kitchen recipe. One of my cats, who eats everything in sight, doesn't seem to care at all about the Honest Kitchen turkey recipe, but he's still on ProPlan private label, so that's probably an issue as I'm in the process of getting all my cats on it switching to more organic cat food, but a 20-year-old on the brink of death was my priority at the moment. I would say that out of five cats, three would eat it automatically. But I noticed that the cat gets used to the food after constant use and wants to eat it. You just have to be persistent, but it will pay off in the long run. So it won't be easy at the beginning, but keep it up.
