This case lasted a year. I use my iPad every day and it wears out all the time. I think for a normal person it will take much longer. The problem I faced in my case is tearing and separating the spine. I might go a few more months to a year but I use it for work. I don't want to take it to meet a customer and pull out a falling suitcase. To be honest I've used a lot of cases, even Apple made one, but it always felt natural. For example, if you take it out in public, no one will know it's an iPad. This is my favorite case I've ever had.
