The smell is really strong and stinks.
There's comfort, but the smell is like hugging a pack of uncapped markers. No strong odor was mentioned in the description. The smell seeps through the velvet sheath I have for him. My cat didn't go near him and he happily slept on the duvet until I got the filling.
