I ride a Harley lowrider without 12 volt outlets. I've always wanted to put my Garmin nüvi on a road bike. This cable and connector is a great solution to this problem, especially since I already have a BatteryMinder connector that is permanently attached to the battery. This cable is long enough to reach from the battery to the steering wheel and runs between the engine and the fuel tank. The only problem with this setup is that the power is always on, so I have to remember to turn off the Garmin when I stop. In general, this is a very workable and inexpensive way to get power from any accessory with a "cigarette" plug.
