This is my second purchase for a shoulder stabilizer and I like the feel of it better because it feels solid. The original stabilizer that I bought and still use is another item on Amazon that had folding handles that allowed me to switch between using it as a shoulder rig and an optional cage setup stabilizer. While it's great to be able to adjust the setup in under a minute, the snap-in setup doesn't compare to the stability and secure fit that I've gotten from Neewer. Feels much better when used and cared for for a long time. Different shots require different tools, and it's up to the user to decide which one is best for the job. Since the shoulder pads cost less than $100, I would choose these over the others. It's also nice to be able to create your own if you get additional parts.
