My previous chair was purchased at W's for $100. It served me well, if somewhat uncomfortable, for a year. After about 20 minutes I sat on it and it was hard and it lost all its skin. This chair arrived in perfect condition, I did not find any defects. My daughter assembled it for me in about 40 minutes. They supply a good 6 inch hex wrench with a T handle as opposed to one with a 2 inch handle like the others which actually ruins the fingertips. As others have said, keep your back free until the levers are screwed on and aligned. This gives about 0.5 inches of wiggle room to move it after the levers are tightened, then tighten your back. All components are "heavy", not cheap. It's based on e pluribus maximus, it's a serious executive chair. Sitting in it is like sitting on a water bed, many layers of padding with different compression, all adjustments worked as they should. In general I am very satisfied. If your budget allows you to spend an extra fifty you won't get sick or regret what you did so I won't update after a year or if there are problems.
