Function over shape for shoulder bags

This review is about Beacone's adjustable wide strap for purse/bag versus the CTopoGo brand. I bought the CTopoGo (CTG) first because I knew the color of the hardware wouldn't match my bag, but the design of the strap still matched my taste and the color of the bag. The Beacon (B) appeared in my buy recommendation after I received CTopoGo and it offered matching color hardware.1. Strap B is narrower and shorter than the CTG. This makes the shoulder seat a little more uncomfortable. The buckle (which slides to shorten/lengthen the strap) rests on my shoulder or collarbone at the right length for cross-body wear, which also reduces comfort for long, medium to heavy wear (I use a bag for every job : some stationery and wallet = medium or camera bag = medium to heavy depending on number of lenses I carry).2. The B spring clasps are slightly smaller than the CTGs, making them difficult to fit through the grommets on the bag, but it takes a little patience, time, and care. I might add a carabiner O-ring later as well.3. The texture of the canvas strap and stitching is also rougher than that of the CTG.4. The price below the CTG band is a plus. However, I leave it as it is, because it still fits the hardware in terms of function and color. See ASIN B07R9VZ8CP for CTopoGo wristband.
