Review on Magnetic Tool Holder - Lisle 21400: Improving Organization and Efficiency! by Deelo Sylvester

EXCELLENT ARTICLE! ! ! on Tools & Equipment

Within an hour of receiving my 3/8" set, I went to my computer and ordered a set for my 1/4" sockets! These are the best socket holders I have seen and used. I read some of the comments before purchasing and some of the comments say the magnets are weak and won't hold the sockets in place. This is NOT the case, after fitting the first socket (from smallest to largest) I noticed how strong the magnets are. I made a play with the remaining sockets, I would attach the sockets from the end of the post, gently slide it towards the center (where the magnet is) and see how far the sockets go before the magnet hits. in and "suck" them in place. Standard or pigeon sockets were pulled out about 1/2 inch by the magnet, and deep sockets were 1/4 inch. After all the nests were in place I stood it up, shook it a little, NONE fell out, I even turned it over, again NONE fell out. Anyone who has posted a message about weak magnets must use aluminum sockets! These racks are great, I ordered 1 red, 1 black (one for standard, one for metric) in 3/8 inch. I just ordered another set for my set of 1/4" washers.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Vulgarity
