Not cast iron and not made in Japan.

This product is not made of cast iron. (The magnet will not stick) It is not safe to drink from. I took it to a knife sharpener to see if a small defect could be ground off. The guy knows his stuff. They warned against drinking from it. Also, it doesn't have a "Made in Japan" stamp. This is a fake, not cast iron. Not safe for brewing tea.
