Review on Comfortable Aspen Pet Rectangular Kennel Mat for Dogs and Cats by Karen Peterson

I wanted a mat for my pup's kennel so he would have more comfort than just towels. I started with plain towels below to see how he would react and whether or not he would chew on it. A month later everything is fine and he has not chewed towels. I decided it was time to get him a blanket to give him some comfort. I looked for the ones that were 25" by 38" but couldn't find any that were that size. I found this one, liked the reviews and decided to give it a try. It's a little smaller than I wanted but still works. The carpet is silky soft and very fluffy. The cushioning is good, the thickness is 1.5 inches. I decided to cover the mat with the towels I use, hoping he wouldn't let him chew on the mat. While working for a few days. At night he sleeps in a kennel and does not gnaw it. He also stays in the kennel while I work (I let him out at lunchtime to go potty and walk a bit) and he didn't chew at all while I worked. I have a puppy cam and watch him every now and then. Normally he just sleeps, but when he gets up he grabs his toys, not the carpet. I can't comment on how bite resistant it is, but it's similar to most mats and breaks easily if you have a pup who likes to chew. The rug can easily be washed in the washing machine, so I'm not worried about it getting dirty. Overall I recommend this rug if you are looking for something to add to your kennel. If you need a rug for the house this is great too but I prefer a fluffier and softer rug for that. Writing detailed reviews to help other buyers has become my hobby.[.]
