Adequate but could be better.

I have an INSTAFOTO 74" all-aluminum ball head tripod, Canon Nikon DSLR tripod with 1/4" quick release plate, phone/tablet holder and carry case, max. load 17.6 lbs / 8 kg in exchange for this review. I'm not dissatisfied with this tripod, but it could be better. We use it to hold an archery spotting scope that weighs about 7 pounds, so it should be pretty solid but feels a bit less stable somehow, if it is intended for larger team members. (It can go all the way up to a very high setting, which is fine for tall photographers, but that comes from a lack of stability.) I like the quick-release plate system for mounting my scope, and the ballhead is decent, although you have to tighten the adjuster HARD to hold things in place. stable. This isn't a huge problem with a spotting scope, but can be annoying for a photographer or videographer who wants to easily and smoothly move the camera around while shooting as it appears to be either locked in one position or overly loose, which is how you have to be Retighten them when you're done with traffic. (I've used many other tripods that stay where you move them, without needing a tighter adjustment), although you'll need to tighten the adjuster hard to get everything stable.
