I tried two other organizers before ordering this one. Once I put my jewelry in, the other organizers folded themselves and didn't lay flat. They wouldn't last for years and after doing all the work of organizing my jewelry I wanted them to last. This organizer is completely different. It is VERY sturdy and stays perfectly flat when hung in a closet. Additionally, the Misslo 44 Pockets Oxford Hanging Organizer with Zipper Hanger features oversized pockets (meaning fewer) that can hold larger necklaces. Love the fact that it's black and each row of pockets has a zipper. This means all of my solid silver jewelry is less likely to tarnish. As for folding for travel, I'll just buy another one to use specifically for travel. I want it to hang in my closet as it is now. In fact I will be buying two more to replace the other two lower quality organizers I previously bought. Having seen another type of mount that uses velcro to "hang" necklaces, I'm not a fan. Your necklaces are left exposed to light and air. I'm much happier with big pockets that all zip up. The metal hanger attached to the Misslo organizer is very durable - not your ordinary hanger. Although it doesn't have a swivel head, the Misslo organizer is so rigid and so flat that you can easily rotate it to view and access everything from either side. They also included an extra piece of metal that allows it to be hung on the back of a door. Oh, all the zippers worked perfectly.
