As the average American grows taller, I firmly believe that furniture has shrunk by 10%. A bit like a Big Mac or a Whopper. There was a time when I lost that observation. The square profile prevents the risers from rolling off the edges of the wooden spacers. What difference does it make if the furniture is the right size. My legs feel great and so does my bottom. I was alerted to the fall while lying on the floor with my arms outstretched under the sofa during installation. "A dog can't jump that high," says my wife. She is right. Our thirteen year old Boston Terrier will not be able to learn this new trick. Hell, he can't even see more than a shadow, much less than what it takes to BASE jump off our perfect-height couch. I love this dog but let's be honest he's so old he has to be carried around these days.
