I tried the $39 soundbar and it lasted long enough that I couldn't return it and while it worked it didn't sound much better or louder than the TV's built in speakers . Lesson learned. I could tell this one was the best quality even before I pocketed it. It's well made and reliable. When I connected it to my TV it worked straight away - no scrolling through the menu to try to connect - just good, clear, full sound. It has good bass volume for a soundbar, making the sound rich and realistic. It has many presets to get a personalized sound, but I prefer the default one. I couldn't be happier with this soundbar.
