I have 2 different brands of velvet hangers this size for my girls room. The cost of the two brands was about the same, with this brand the cost of a hanger was slightly lower. Got them in pink for my 7 year old and another brand in purple for my 5 year old. We've had hangers for the past few months, I've found about a dozen broken pink hangers and zero broken purple hangers. And it's not just in one place, the material is very fragile and easy to break - I broke off many broken pieces to make it more compact to fit in the bin. The metal hook connection point also comes loose sometimes, but those were just about two bugs I saw. If you're buying these for older kids who take good care of their belongings, they'll probably be fine. But if your kids are still learning to take care of their belongings and like to push their limits and figure out what does and doesn't break, you might want to consider a more durable brand.
