Review on ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Datrex 3600 Emergency Food Bar-CASE of 5: Compact and Nutritious Survival Rations by David Fisher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Probably the best value for money ready to eat emergency food

Fairly balanced, nutritious, fairly palatable and non-perishable. You can get more calories for your buck by stocking up on staples like rice, sugar, or vegetable oil, but then you need to actually make something edible out of it. , the taste of Datrex bars is neither overwhelming nor insanely sweet. They have a soft, crumbly, cookie-like texture and a cookie-like flavor with hints of coconut. In fact, this is something you can enjoy in non-emergency conditions. With a sensible mix of carbs, fats and proteins, and some added vitamins, they're probably good for medium-term survival too, if it ever matters. . The only major disadvantage is the high weight. For hiking or walking, freeze-dried products like Mountain House are probably better for you.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Fragile
