I have quite a large family so when buying chairs I had to go in the big and tall category but unfortunately I didn't like the insanely high prices. I looked at this chair but it had a weight limit of 250 pounds. I liked the look and decided to give it a try anyway because it was made from fairly strong materials and in my experience if you have a solid frame the chairs can easily support twice their weight limit. Assembly was pretty easy. The only problem I had was with the armrests, because you had to hold on to one side of the chair while twisting the other. Don't be fooled by OTHERS. It is NOT the job of two people to simply assemble this chair. All in all, I did it myself in under an hour with just two screwdrivers. This chair is really comfortable and very durable. A 375-pound person can sit in this chair without straining when the limit is 250. So I suggest to all my tall people that you buy this chair cheap and if it breaks you can just buy another instead of paying $500+ for the 'tall and high chair. BENEFITS: Comfortable, durable, elegant design, surprising large CONS: attempted to assemble the armrests worked, large chair, but the armrests are disproportionate to the chair Update: this chair lasted 2 years before finally breaking, a year later one of the legs just broke in split in half and shot across the room while I was in. After about a year the entire seat detached from the base (thankfully I didn't get stabbed) so unfortunately I have to downgrade the rating in the review.
