Review on Salomon Trail Running Shoes Black by Jessie Drury

This shoe probably deserves 5 stars as several improvements have been made to an already great design. Unfortunately, this model is now much narrower than previous versions. I've been wearing xa pro 3d shoes for travel, hiking and the occasional run for years. I opted for the 2017 facelift and went on my first ride. The shoe matches the length but is now much narrower in the middle of the shoe (arch/instep area). I couldn't continue walking until I untied the laces and removed the insole - even then they were very tight. The same thing happened with a pair of Wings Pro shoes I bought, so it looks like Salomon has narrowed down their sneaker line. I'm very disappointed as it was my favorite shoe for hiking and touring, and it was also great (albeit heavy) for trail running. The heel cup is the best in the business and it's still a very stable running and hiking shoe. The shoe has been upgraded with an outsole that used to be a bit slippery but now has a more aggressive and softer rubber compound. The lace pocket has also been improved. I notice that they make an m+ (wider version) of this shoe which I am going to buy now. resizing.
