Great board for beginners at a great price

This is a gift for my 7 year old daughter who has never been into skateboarding but loves the outdoors and as we have already bought all the normal toys (scooters , bikes, roller skates, etc.) was the next logical step, and it came through the Easter Bunny this morning. First the positive. The board looks and feels like a quality board that is worth a lot more than its asking price. The wheels are a lot quicker than I expected, with quality bearings, bogies and bushings across the board, allowing the inexperienced rider to go really fast when needed. Paint on artwork is popular and has survived the day of abuse well until now. The contrast between pink and light blue looks amazing and attracts the attention of passers-by. Next come the negatives. To be honest I've found that there is only one problem with this board, but I'm not entirely sure if it can't be fixed with a few simple tweaks. The bushings on this board are very, VERY soft. Just standing on the board becomes a challenge as the board will shift in one direction or another regardless of the weight applied. This makes balancing more difficult than it should be for a beginner board, although it allows for very responsive turning for people who are already familiar with the skateboard. Using a simple wrench, I made adjustments to tighten things up and give more stability, but the board then tended to pull significantly to one side, which was actually worse than the original problem, and so everything loosened up again Ride to enable a straighter progression. Since my daughter was in this early stage of use, she was interested in stepping on it and sledding down the sidewalk. This gave her control by simply shifting her weight from side to side, and she had a lot of fun using it that way. I plan to spend more time adjusting the hub nut this week to see if I can get more stability without breaking alignment, but hubs can also be replaced and worst case scenario I'll just buy something which offers a stiffer ride. Final Thoughts: There was a time when I was younger when a board of this quality easily cost triple. At the current asking price, a bushing problem is easy to miss and relatively easy to fix with further investigation and adjustment. As this will likely be the first skateboard for many kids, personally I would have preferred a much stiffer bearing to have been used from the start to allow for a stiffer ride and therefore more stability when standing on the board, but I'll give it that admitting that this may well be a personal preference and as such I can't fault the board itself or its quality for using softer bushings and that's why I ended up not deducting a single star. This board looks and works great and has enough customization options to suit everyone's desires making it easy to recommend. Honestly I want to buy a board for myself and also as a result of this purchase so it will be approved by me and my daughter.
