It says machine washable but the packaging doesn't say wash.
I find the above maintenance information questionable. You can't tell what's machine washable and what's not. I decided to wash it to make sure it's not complete garbage and not as hard as when I first opened it. Did a gentle wash and dried. The upside is that it's clean, still works well and doesn't smell like chemicals. Update: That issue aside, the cats really like it and I may have to buy another one so we can see how the structural integrity holds up.
