Separate pockets hold CDs or DVDs well and sometimes fit in earphones, sometimes not. In general, the pockets are too narrow and can easily tear when pressed. If inserts are included, whether in the sleeve or between the sleeves, the bag will not hold more than 200 before becoming too full to close. I assume 300 Max discs will fit without inserts. The design, with half the sleeves separated from the other half, aims to overcome the difficulty of attaching as many as possible, but in general the inside of the case is cheap and poorly designed. The optics are well thought out. In general, I recommend using folders advertised as holding no more than 200 pieces.
