I bought them for the ease of use at work: Direct USB with microphone and over-ear speakers for convenience. I have tried others and was disappointed by their fragility - most only lasted about 3 months but this gave me an opportunity to say that they are very comfortable. The padding is good, the weight is evenly distributed, the microphone clicks when you change position - everything is fine. I wanted to wait and see if it would hold up before doing a review, but when I asked a colleague to review the mic today, I was told they were amazed at the clarity of the sound - they even asked for the brand name. I work with people who take calls all day - they know the tone. I didn't download the drivers because they don't normally work with VM desktops, so that was all the mic mechanics. Excellent work! Update: Just so you know, it's been a few months now and this headset is still working. So far, no defects in the construction have been found. 2nd update: still good, still no build issues. I love these headphones. 3rd update: I just bought another set as a gift - arrived VERY well ". " Cause? One of the sliders has stopped "clicking". All in all, this is the most solid headset I've ever owned. Yes, I use a stand (like a pro), but the only wear and tear is padding coming off, and I blame the These are the goggles I wear.
