Love this little thing, it's very simple but totally effective. Just put some ice on the bottom and your food will stay cold for literally hours. Now, if you're outside in the heat, I think the ice will melt pretty quickly, but I haven't tested that yet. I also like the lid, it keeps the cold and insects away. I put potato salad in 2 compartments, dip it in one and cucumber in the other. I think next time I'll use it for taco night. The only improvement I would make would be to make it a little insulated, maybe a case to sit in if I wanted to use it outside and catch the condensation that collects outside.
