Monitor stands, pens, boots and cutlery, what do these things have in common? They are all more than boring purchases that you only appreciate after a "good" purchase. When I was remodeling my office space, I bought this stand for a 27" Dell monitor. I originally bought it to clean my desk surface but now I can't imagine using my Minitor without it. In fact, I hardly use my second monitor now as the arm makes it so much more comfortable! Assembly: (1) The instructions are clearly written, and after you unpack everything, it only takes 5 minutes to install it on your desk. . In my case, the bracket attaches with the included C-clamp (attaches by pulling on the side of the table, no screws). The mount seems very sturdy and hasn't loosened in the month I've had it. (2) After installing on the table, you can mount your monitor. I was a little concerned this would be difficult on its own, but it's designed to hold the monitor's weight with a couple of screws before you tighten the VESA mount. It took less than 2 minutes. (3) Here is the easiest but most time consuming part: Adjusting the arm tension. The arm is stretched out and therefore very stiff. But the instructions tell you to loosen your joints in small increments to accommodate how easily your arms lift, stretch, and twist. Initial setup is quick (about 5 minutes) but I found myself setting up the arm over the next few days and probably spending 10 minutes setting it up. Once set up, you can easily adjust and position the monitor however you see fit! I am very pleased with the build quality, ease of use and smoothness of this monitor stand!
