I bought these for simple chores around the house with sharp objects. Here this often means breaking cardboard boxes with a blade for recycling, but can also include working with sharp metal scraps, riskier food preparation operations, etc. These medium sized gloves work quite well for my small to medium sized male hands. If you're a tall guy, go up a size. They are amazingly comfortable. I tested them with a sharp pocket knife and they did their job very well against jerky movements. I also carefully tried to push the tip of the knife inward. You can definitely feel the sharp point, but I don't think it will cut through the material without a lot of force. The price certainly seems fair and a small price to avoid the nasty cut of your hands.
