So there are 2 common types of bottles: these and those with lids. The problem with attached lids is that the lid wobbles in a pocket, which is annoying/attractive. This style solves the problem—it's noiseless. (I think the threads are the same, so if you've lost your cap I'm sure you can find a replacement. If this is a real problem for you, you can always make something out of a piece of wire.) Another reason why I have chosen - a curved top edge and a curved spout neck. Another style has right angles, making it difficult to remove liquid, such as when washing. Droplets remain, resulting in rust or odor, etc. I thought they would drain a little better and after rinsing I think I was right. The only downside I just found out is that it's about 2x the weight. In fact, these 60 ounces are about 2 times heavier than the other type's 9 ounces. This may or may not be good for you as the extra weight likely means more durability but also more weight. I'll take it given the price and the lack of a game. Hope that helps.
