Possibly the softest, most comfortable boat shoes I've ever had. The leather is so ripped that it feels like you're wearing your favorite pair of shoes from the start and the leather and color look very pretty. On the other hand, how long will it take? I've worn mine a few times and so far so good, but then again, a pair of Sebagos that've worn the same number of times looks almost never worn. While my feet appreciate the Sperry's softness, I hope they last as long as the Sebago, which looks brand new and is made of thick leather (the price we pay for an on-trend, worn-in look?). Also, the insole seems cheap to me. Out of the box it felt a bit awkward, feeling like cardboard with an awkward crease. With some wear, the insole adapted to my foot and became more comfortable, but I found it trimmed the corners a bit to reduce manufacturing costs. But not the end of the world, because it is comfortable and stylish. I just hope the style and comfort lasts. So far so good as it has survived multiple outings (some of which have been intense) with little to no wear and tear, and no blisters or moments of discomfort either. Size seems to match other Sperrys. I ordered a half size larger than the Sebago and it's hard to tell which side of the fence it is on (Sperry half a size smaller or Sebago half a size larger). No comparison to the shoes I wear with socks.
