Pros

I have been the owner of the DeathAdder Elite for more than two years, I bought the Essential as a gift for my nephew. According to the first impressions in comparison, I’ll say that the click is very juicy and accurate (the move is more than two times compared to my tuned Elite), the assembly is good, the buttons (oddly enough, they don’t play), ShortClickMod made ShortClickMod on my Elite suffering from this problem (this eliminates cant), then everything is fine from the factory. In general, from the pros. Great click (I'm really impressed), nice plastic, nice backlight (only white), good build quality.

Cons

Side holders are not rubberized as on Elite, but plastic. The wire is not braided, ordinary, like from under the printer. The wheel is not very precise.
