I cut the shaft down the middle to make it easy to turn on and off. Apparently it doesn't stick to the iPad with that, meaning it won't charge between uses. But it definitely makes long drawing/drawing sessions more livable. Instead of trying to take it on and off multiple times in one sitting, I cut down the middle and lay it on cut side up when I pick up the pencil. I cut one and it's still holding up, two more if you don't like your modification the first time. Not as good as the Ergo+ I used to use, but especially given the hassle of getting it on and off my pen, I was less suspicious of breaking that price point. I use it every time I draw.
