Review on Flash Furniture HERCULES Executive Adjustable by Caleb Bennett

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The best large and high chair I have ever used.

I had an original Hercules Flash furniture that I bought from Staples in 2014. That chair was awful. The backrest was very comfortable but the seat was very uncomfortable. It always felt like I was slipping. The armrests also creaked. I was hesitant to buy any other Flash Furniture product but decided to go for this mesh version. I bought a chair with a fabric cover. Assembly was easy, the easiest of any chair I've used. The chair looks great. I love being able to fold down the armrests and slide the chair under the table for more space. The seat cushion is comfortable with plenty of padding, but I would have preferred it to be 2 inches shorter from back to front. I'm under 6ft tall so maybe my legs aren't long enough. I really have to pull my butt up as high as possible to keep the mesh pressed against my back. Speaking of which, the mesh back is nice, but don't think about resting your head on it. The lumbar support is good but I wish it was lower. Keep in mind that you actually have to turn the knob under the seat to release the backrest recline function. I thought the slope was broken or something, it was too hard. Normally a few twists of the handle on any other chair would make it very loose, but on this particular chair you literally have to twist the handle a few dozen times before slacking off the tension to allow it to recline slightly. The wheels are also very slippery. When I sit down, I have to hold on to the table in order not to move away. TLDR: I am happy with the chair. Looks great, armrests are excellent and feel very solid (no movement or rumble, it's a really great design). The seat itself is very comfortable but very wide and deep. Lumbar support is good but wish it was lower. Reclining requires many turns of the tension knob under the seat (more than any other chair I've ever used). Easy to assemble. I would easily recommend the fabric option.
