My one year old Bernese suddenly stopped eating his premium dog food about a month ago. I tried leaving it there in hopes that it would reignite my appetite and then started trying every other brand of quality dog food I could find. Eat for free. I was devastated because he was losing weight (from 110 to 104 in a couple of weeks). Then I found it in a pet food store and he inhaled it. I was a little upset about the price, but at that moment I was just happy that he was eating again. He's about 3/4 of the way through the bag and loves it. He actually smells VERY fishy and I'm guessing he likes the taste (sorry I'm NOT trying it) and his stools have become hard and reduced in volume. It itches a bit more than I'd like so not sure if it's just a seasonal allergy or this food. As with anything, time will tell. We're just happy!
