I loved these shelves but the "Dark Walnut" color that arrived is anything but as dark. It matches the color shown on the product page perfectly but I assumed the pictures on the product page were a mistake as the pictures show a walnut and not a DARK walnut. So we brought back the BAOBAB shelves and got BAMFOX shelves instead, which actually were the dark color we wanted (at a significantly lower price). Since we immediately sent the BAOBAB shelves back, we didn't have a chance to try and install them. However, they have the same fastening system as BAMFOX. Therefore, I can tell you that you should avoid wall anchors that do not grip the wall on both sides. I highly recommend buying at least 3/8" fasteners (and make sure you open them after installation). This ensures that your shelves will not sag and be able to support significant weight. Another option is to use Molly screws. Definitely do not use plain wall inserts (which BAMFOX sells with their shelves) as they will expand a little (or possibly fully) and cause them to droop (or fall).
