I bought this camera to replace an old Nikon Coolpix which we have had for years without any problems and which is now being used by our daughter. At first I was satisfied with the light weight and the elegant design. However, over time this became a problem. Not strong enough to be anything 'hard' and the curved front made it impossible for a finger to bend and grip. But these are minor complaints. After just two weeks of moderate use, the record, delete, and scene buttons suddenly stopped working; Turning on the zoom took forever; and the camera took a picture right after turning it on (I have a lot of photos of legs), but after a few seconds it didn't take the picture I wanted, even though I pressed the shutter button several times. It always worked out in the end, but the "moment" was already lost. As a result, my SD card was filled with photos that I couldn't delete. No fun if you're away from home, don't have access to a computer, and have an SD card with limited storage. Not sure if I just got a random lemon or if Nikon cameras work that way. Anyway, I was disappointed and sent it back.
