I got this cable to extend the HMD on my Oculus Rift. When I received the package I was shocked at how thin the cable was and was skeptical that it would work with the Rift and my active extender. I was like, "No, that's a mono price, they make good stuff." I plugged it in and routed all the cables (without testing) as I put the Oculus Rift on my head. it did not work! No video. BUT then I remembered that I had seen a label on each end of the cable and when I looked again I saw that one label said the source and the other read and they were from what I had plugged in. stood on their heads. I thought "it doesn't matter" but I decided to give it a try. I untied everything and threw the cable. That of course solved the problem. When expanding your Oculus Rift, you need to properly orient the cable and connect it to the HDMI repeater. I think it's because it's an active cable, not a passive one. that's just my guess.
