I was looking for a solution to old cotton pads that soak up A LOT of product. I have found that when the product is applied to regular cotton pads, a ton of product soaks into the pad and is "wasted" as it gets so deep into the pad that it doesn't really transfer to your skin. I've definitely thrown money away as wasted/unused product. So I decided to go broke after reading an article online about these pads and it was worth it. Pads not only feel comfortable, but are also thinner and less "absorbent" than normal pads due to the compression. What is good. Basically I apply 1/2 more product than before, it soaks into the bath but the pad doesn't soak it up. The pad stays damp/wet (depending on how much you put on it) and then the product is easy to apply to face, neck etc. and really use most of the product you just poured! I saved so much - my products last longer because I don't have to use as much!
