Very easy to install. The material is thicker than I expected, a pleasant surprise for the price. This material doesn't feel like cheap "plastic" and moves quietly. An additional advantage of this mattress and box spring (separate cover) is that they look like new. I would suggest that if you are installing this cover (or mattress) yourself, that you stand the mattress on end, perhaps next to a wall, and slip the cover over the top and carefully slide it over. . Do not pull or force the cap. Just unzip the 3 sides and take your time to put the cover on. Once you've put the cover on and it's in place, simply lay the mattress (or box spring) down and zip up. If the zipper gets stuck, simply lift the zipper handle back and then go forward again. It only took me 5-6 minutes to install each cover. I recommend this product.
