Well stitched, soft but durable. It narrows at the top and widens at the bottom to accommodate enough makeup. I was looking for a spare makeup case that had vertical slots for brushes, liquid foundation, mascara, and side compartments to keep things from dangling underneath. While I don't like digging through everything to find tweezers and a pencil sharpener in the main compartment under the shadow, foundation, and blush, this case has enough perks - its modest size is large - that I keep and recommend. That. After a year of use I was disappointed with the bag as the fabric is so slippery and the straps on the lid are so loose that anything on the lid falls out of the bag. Based on the picture and description, I'm hoping for a more functional makeup bag that will hold items in place when traveling.
