It's amazing although the inside isn't bigger than I hoped. But it's a nice and thin cookie jar, holds lots of cookies, I don't know what size barrel some other reviewers wanted to use as a cookie jar, but it's a good size with a good size hole at the top. The seal is designed to be easily cleaned of crumbs etc. The lid is updated, after more than a month of use I can say that it is definitely big enough. It fits an entire pack of family-size Wal-Mart duplex biscuits for a great value. You have to put the last four in the lid and then close it, but it holds them. If these cookies aren't enough for your family, I recommend just taking a 5-gallon bucket from Home Depot and painting it blue if you want it to look like a Tardis. The opening is wide enough as the lid that fits in the opening can hold more than 4 inexpensive duplex cookies!
