The problem is that the microphone doesn't work because the signal and ground are reversed. It is related to the OMTP standard. Apple-compatible headsets with microphones require the CITA standard. This should be clearly visible in the product listing. The phone chain/leash did not come with the product as advertised. Not that I care as I wouldn't use it, but it's false advertising to promote a 'free gift' that doesn't actually exist.
