Review on ๐Ÿ” Optimized AMVR VR Headset Protective Shell - Transparent Front Face Cover for Oculus Quest 2 Accessories, Enhanced Collision and Scratch Resistance by Darrell Beecher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The current model causes overheating.

I love that this headset case gives my Quest 2 an incredible look. The reason I give 5 stars is the overall design, but I really hope it gets reproduced with vents, in which case I'll buy it again. Currently the lid is being modified to have vent holes. Update 1: I was able to cut a very thin line along the top at the seam where the vent is located at the top of the headset and I can confirm that I can feel airflow and not overheat with the hood on. Side protectors perfectly match the Elite harness, which must be worn from the end. They are marked with "L" and "R". Update 2: With a vent cut into the top of the bezel, I was able to play the Hyperdash for hours without the extra heat that a device typically gives off and without any overheating issues. The headset vents are only along the top seam, leaving about 1-2 inches of headroom on each side. With the headset on, if you bring your face to the top of the headset, you will feel the airflow. Here the production should have an additional gap for the passage of air. My photos show where I cut through to allow air to enter.
