The problems with these speakers range from aesthetic to functional. Functional first: 1) The power button is behind the speaker under a water seal. Therefore it cannot be activated when the speaker is in place. You can turn it off but the noise when you turn it on when you plug it back in is so loud that I can tell it will eventually break the speaker cone. 2) Water seal covers are fragile and will not stay in place. They need to be glued or glued. 3) The power cord is approximately 5 feet long - too short for most installations. And the cable is permanently plugged in, so it's not possible to swap it out with a longer or shorter cable depending on your installation. This requires an extension cord, which is difficult to protect from moisture outdoors. Now for the aesthetics: 1) The speakers I bought were white and the power cord was black. Who does it? Bad design! 2) These speakers are much larger than they appear in the photos. Too big for my setup which is under the eaves on my back porch. There should be an image with a common object for size comparison.
