My old speakers made an annoying static noise when connected to a computer via a 3.5mm jack. After those old speakers broke, I wanted to afford a 2.1 soundbar small enough to fit behind my monitor. It worked and I love how the subwoofer connects to the soundbar wirelessly. There is also no static ambient noise. The lack of drivers to install was also a plus, and I liked how high I could push the bass when listening to music.
